I agree with you one hundred percent.
C'mon, guys, cut the boys some slack. They've been doing this for years now, and all they're asking for is a reasonable break, and everybody freaks about it. When I first heard about the break, everybody was saying that it was a breakup, so, obviously, I was upset about it, but I got over it. Then, they said it was just a break, and I believe those guys a whole lot more than I believe some random fans that are half-way across the earth from me. I understand everybody's concern, because I love FOB as much as the next guy. I love them to fucking death, and if something happened to the band, of course I would be upset. But, they just need some time to, as Pete said, "decompress," and I'm giving them time to do that. I believe in those guys, and I believe that they'll be back, that they wouldn't just lie to us and never come back. They promised that it's JUST a break. They're still trying to figure out how things will go, but with everybody giving them a hard time about it, they're only going to be pressured more.
I cried a lot two days ago when I heard that Pete said he might be leaving the band. Then, I realized, it's Pete. xD He's just in one of those moods, and I understand that because I go through them, too. I think we all do at some point. I noticed that he sounded angry, fed up. But now I've heard more about it, and I think he's starting to chillax about it more, like he was when it was first announced. He's just stressed about all this shit that's going around, guys. Nothing's going to happen. And even if it does, it's for the best, as Patrick said.
It's kind of like what happened with MCR. They had been going for a while when they disappeared for three or four years back in 'Oh Six. Now, they're back again, almost finished [I think. It's been a long process of this record they're working on. So, you can't really estimate. xD] with the next record. They just needed some time off, and they came back. Also what happened with Green Day, with the four/five-year gap between American Idiot and Twenty-First Century Breakdown. They came back, and it seems like Green Day's better than ever.
I say we just give them some time off. Besides, Andy and Joe are in a band now, so we have that to look forward to, and not to mention Patrick's solo project. I'm very excited for both, AND when FOB decides it's time to start back in the industry again. I don't care how long it takes, or what happens. I believe in those guys more than probably anything else in the world, and if you're a real fan, so will you. I'll be waiting for them, cool, calm, and collected about it. Just give the boys some time. I trust them to do what they think is right, no matter what it is, and I'll be happy with their decision. <3 And this reply is probably going to end up a lot longer than necessary... xP [/endramble]

Kaitlyn Bowerman said:Wow! I have alot to say about this, so I hope everyone is in the mood to read! As of right now it seems permanent. Over the past week i've read at least 30+ articles on the situation, and have been following all the tweets from Joe, Pete, and Andy. What I think we really need to do is sit back and chill, let the boys figure everything out. they wanted to take a break, take some time off to not think about it. and all the fans did, prolly not all, cuz i know I didnt, but most, just kept bugging and bugging about it, all the wanted was some time off after the 9 years of constant touring, recording, recording, writing, touring, touring, and did I mention touring?! but instead of getting their mind off of it, fans just kept building the pressure, by askin what was going on, if they were going to get back together, and why did they break up? Which did not in any means let them take their mind off of it. Patrick did say "I'm not in Fall Out Boy, right now" but at least he said right now, right? I mean technically, if they are on a break then none of them are in the band. and reading the articals, and tweets, after that was said, andy worte "I quit too" on twitter, and shortly after Joe posted a tweet that read " I just did interviews with Span Magazine, Rabbling Stone, and Blunder about how much quitting I done" now in the articles they are sayin that Patrick had never told his bandmates about him making a record, and after joe and andy had read that, or heard about it, whichever, they posted those, and I think thats who they are referring too, I think they feel as if Patrick quit the band. But in my personal opinion I dont think he did at all, I think that he thought since the band was going to take a break, that he still wanted to be involved with music, and decided that maybe while they were on break, he would expierament a little with music by making his own record. I mean it's better than him making a whole new band that could very possibly be a huge hit, to the point that Fall Out Boy never came back again, right? Now Pete did say that they were back to where they were when they first announced the "decompression" (as he referred to as the new term he was going to use for the situation instead of the "h" word or break-up) witch means things might look up and we may see them again in a few years. :) Follow these links to read things that were actually said by the band members:

these are the first three articles that I read when I wanted to know what was going on and they helped a little. Hey! just read another artical as I was writing this! heres the link:

Now I do have alot of information in my brain right now, just can't think of the words to say, or to put the information into! I do think that after a few years we will have our boys back! but it will be a few years, like I said, they have dun so much in the past nine years its rediculous, I mean 6 albums, includin their greatest hits, touring, and everything! they have worked their asses off, what we should be doing is thanking them for the enormous amount of work that they have done to please us, and give us music, non-stop for 9 years, without taking a break! we should be giving them a standing ovation! and we should definately be giving them their space, as they need it, and very well deserve it! And always know that in your heart Fall Out boy is always going to be with us one way or another! We still have their cds, and the memory of what they have done! Give them your support, let them know you're behind them 100% no matter what happens, because you love them, and you only what the best for them, and you want them to be happy! I Do hope that Fall Out Boy return and rock our worlds again! But if they dont, it will be sad, but I'm not going to be mad or angry with them, cuz I'd rather them be happy than myself, even if i never got to see them live! I LOVE FALL OUT BOY, and I ALWAYS WILL! Whether they are making music, or off living their own seperate lives, they will always be a part of who I am!
