hmmm..... i'm a huge fan of both but if i had to choose it would be harry potter. now don't get me wrong, i love twilight and i have read all the books but, it's not much of a fight. one wrist flip with a wand and your dead.

It doesn't matter because Buffy would stake Edward before Harry could say "Avada Kedavra", because she's just that damn hardcore.

Seriously, though? Harry Potter wins, if only for the fact that VAMPIRES DON'T SPARKLE.

I read Twilight long before most people read it, long before the movie and it was good, so were the rest of the books and the films are....moderately okay-ish, but nothing compares to Harry Potter, my god what an amazing series of books they were. They've made me cry over the years more than anything else in my life, you could say I'm sad but to be honest I just think the books are truly legendary. Everyone can relate to them and they're funny, witty, sad, exciting and familiar from cover to cover, plus the films are tonnes better. Twilight doesn't even compare. By the way, you can only say which is better if you've read both, robert pattinson fangirls can't just say 'zomg twilight is lyk da best cuz its sooo good!' :| paha....

mkay...
pros of twilight: Edward was a really well developed character. the internal struggle he had to face in falling in love with a mortal was really well portrayed. and also the decision as to whether or not he should allow Bella to become a vampire.

cons of twilight: Bella was kinda... whiny for lack of a better word. And I thought the movie was atrocious. I think it would have been better if a movie hadn't been made. Because every girl that read that book (or all the ones I know) had their own idea of what Edward would be like. and trying to put that into a real person kinda ruined the... magic of it I guess.
I haven't seen New Moon yet, but I've heard so far that it was better than Twilight.

pros of Harry Potter: amazing story line. It takes a lot of talent as an author to publish a seven book series and have things from the first book connect to things in the seventh. definitely more planned out and a lot deeper than Twilight. The characters were more developed (due mostly to the fact that it was a seven book series, as opposed to four) It had a lot of different elements to it. romance, humor, coming of age, fantasy (magic, dragons, giants, etc.) The characters in Harry Potter were easier to relate to, because they weren't all perfect Also, the movies followed the books fairly accurately (except The Half-Blood Prince that one kinda sucked)

cons of Harry Potter: I can't really think of any. in case you haven't figured it out, I'm a huge Harry Potter nerd. I guess the only one I can think of is sometimes when you read the Harry Potter series you get too attached to the characters, and it's hard to read the seventh book knowing that it is the end.

excuse me? twilight may be sweeping the world right now, but its a fad, "an interest followed with exaggerated zeal" I've read all the books (both harry potter and twilight series) and JKR's writing clearly surpasses Meyer's by years. JKR presents a variety of themes. Even though both are fiction, Harry Potter's characters seem more life like and more relatable than the "every girls dream man" Edward Cullen.

Also are they ever going to make a Twilight theme park? i sure hope not

Uhm. Interesting. Harry Potter was another kind of movies. I Think we can't tell who is the most better. But Twilight is the MOViE OF THE YEAR. We can't deny. :) .
