If you stripped away her crazy outfits and insane videos, do you think she'd still be successful?

I feel like it's not only ridiculous but it says a lot about how she sees the music industry.

I feel like she's not all about the music, she's more focused on playing dress up just to shock the pants off of the public... but I guess video really did kill the radio star.

I've always hated her music... till i heard the song Paparazzi!
I just LOVE it and I also love the song Boys boys boys by her...
The new song isn't that awesome in my opinion.

That about her music.. but about herself? Ofcourse she's original. hahah. but maybe too much!
Her clothes are so weird and her make up and hair is sometimes over the top!
But oh well.. her problem :)

She's an oddball.
I don't like her.
I don't like her, although, some of the techno beats of her songs are catchy.
She tries way too hard to be different and she's getting us talking about her and that's what she wants.

I really don't see how one of the posts above can even compare her to Britney.
Britney's going to be around forever. c:

well, like it or not, i find her 'unapealing'. one, shes trying way to hard! and two, she really doesnt seem to be who she acts like!
i didnt get a chance to meat her, and i dont wanna sound like im rejecting her, without giving her a chance, but im not into 'catchy' music or bitchy-naked-blondies! and is not outrageous that i hate about her! from my point of view, outrageous is her plus, fakeness is her minus! i heard people calling her 'the new thing', i personally think shes just like the others! someday she'll fade away!
however, her fame aint geting in the way of my happiness, so, from my part, she can carry on with the stripping! have a nice, ritch life Gaga;)

i love Lady Gaga. I think she is really talented. and really takes music and style (and videos in this case) to the next level. She is different and uses her uniqueness in a really creative way that is also enjoyable. I think it says a lot that her work is hard to "get" because it shows that is not one dimensional

what can i say? i ADORE Lady Gaga (:
she cares for her fans, never puts less than 110% effort into anything, such a talented musician, and ofc, dresses pretty damn awesome ^-^
sometimes, I'm sure everyone gets confused by her sometimes. but that's what makes her so awesome!
people can thin k what they want of her, but in my opinion, she is one of the best new artists atm (:

I'm not sure. It seems like most of her buzz is based solely on the controversy she stirs up. That's kind of like wondering if anybody would really know Bjork if she didn't wear giant swans out in public! I think she would probably end up being successful, but it would have taken a lot longer (and a lot more hard work) to get the hype she has now.
