COLDPLAY & CHIODOS. sorry people who like both of those
Smashing Pumpkins, U2, A lot of Kings Of Leon's songs, Beastie Boys (with the exception of "brass monkey"), Justin Bieber, Jonas Brothers, a lot of F.O.B.'s stuff, Jason Derulo, Train, Rob Thomas, Matchbox Twenty, Hannah Montana.
Blehhh! ;p
kings of leon, owl city, amy mederith (aussie band), living end (aussie band)
i'd have to say The Jonas Brothers and anyone else who could be remotely close to soiunding like High School Musical.
i actually like more than a few of these bands that people are mentioning..
i'll probably be slaughtered in my sleep, but 30 seconds to mars are kind of... boring.
and coldplay. i think i could quote panic! on this. "i wote a song cawed wick my wove pump. it was in d minuh."
You must have no taste in music! Smashing Pumpkins are the foundation to everything you listen to today. Fall Out Boy is amazing in te sense that they're the only ones who have been trying to keep punk alive. Beastie Boys were the first white rap group and went through a lot of shit for rap. They thought of rap as a part of alt. punk and allowed many other white rappers to begin there careers with less critisism. U2 is an amazing light rock band who has forever changed the way many people think of rock. As for Justin Bieber, Hannah Montana, and the Jonas Brothers... you're right. Although the little they have provided to pop music and the pop music charts has made a lasting impact on pop.

I hate the music ACDC makes but I respect them as an artist. It's just not my type of genre.

Tokio hotel! they suk a**
Tokio Hotel,Jonas Brothers,U2...not a band but i`d like to put him here also-Justin Bieber!!
Jonas brothers, sparklehorse, hannah montana, justin bieber, tokio hotel, and all time low(i dont like most of their songs.just not my type of music.),
Bring me the horizon, Paramore.. I just really don't like them. Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus, Kings of Leon, Justin Bieber. They suck.
I get what you're saying and I would take that into consideration if it weren't for you saying that you hate ACDC.
Are you kidding? Talk about bands that made a difference..
I didn't say U2 or all of those other ones are stupid and useless.
I just don't like listening to them...(not my type of genre) kind of like how ACDC is not yours. So I don't know why you'd go through all the trouble to say that I have no taste in music when you just put down one of the most influential and famous bands of all time.
Bono (from U2) is one of the smartest people out in the music industry and just in general but I am not fond of his music..although, I appreciate it.
ACDC has had an incredible impact on rock & roll..so although you respect them as an artist, you still don't like them..
which is what I was saying about Beastie boys and U2 and all of those other ones.

So basically, we both respect but don't listen to bands that forever changed music...and that's ok but don't go saying that I have no taste in music because that's an opinion and you actually don't know me or the music I DO listen to...The Beatles are one of my favorite bands.. I'm pretty sure any music critic, such as yourself, could acknowledge that they were pretty remarkable and for a 15 year old to like them with today's music lying around is pretty rare.
"Back in Black" is one of those songs that shaped rock & roll and it's extremely famous.
And yes, I agree with you about those bands having such an impact.
