Cage the elephant and throw away the key

With a few catchy songs Cage the Elephant might entice you to buy their whole album, but after listening to it you will likely want your money back. In many of the songs (“Drones in the Valley” and “Judas” just to name a few), the instrumentals sound like they are competing with Matt Shultz’ vocals, however the lyrics win the race. In “No Rest for the Wicked” the chorus is a nicely written alibi which is tempting to use the next time you need to explain a decision. Sadly, the lyrics aren’t enough to make the listener anticipate any future albums from Cage the Elephant.
