With so many bands trying to branch out of so many places, let alone the state of Michigan, it would seem difficult to become a tour de force that really stands apart from everyone else. Fortunately for these youngins, the opportunity of a lifetime has been placed in their hands, but not without merit; along with the chance to go on the road with such well-known bands as Attack Attack!, A Skylit Drive and other mitten state natives We Came As Romans. With their first full-length debut album 3D recently released by Sumerian Records, I See Stars really shows their versatility and inspiration from every genre: pop punk to hardcore to electronica. With memorable vocals and lyrics that anyone can relate to or imagine, these gents have caught some well-deserved attention. Their instrumentals are fast-paced and with repeated listening one can hear the different nuances in each song. The catchy hooks, the breakdowns, the dancibility, and the fun music video concepts…these boys may be young, but are showing that they can hold their own ground and will not be slowing down anytime soon.
