"An empty wallet doesn't seem that bad when you're living the dream" The Summer Set sings in their song "This Is How We Live", the tenth track from their first full-length album, Love Like This. But, it won't be long before this band is famous, and their wallets with be full. The whole album is great from start to finish, and never slows down until the end. The album opens with a powerpop hit, with a hook that will be stuck in your head all day, entitled "The Boys You Do (Get Back At You)". This is a song about how fantastic revenge can be with you find out your girlfriend has cheated on you. Other songs that are pop-infused on the album include "Chelsea", "This Is How We Live", and the title track "Love Like This". The final track on the album is "Where Are You Now", an acoustic song which features Dia Frampton from the talented Meg & Dia. The song is the kind of song that can calm you down when you are in the worst mood. Their song "Passenger Seat" is also a slower song, but, personally, I enjoy "Where Are You Now". This was a long awaited album for every fan of The Summer Set, but we can all agree that it was well worth the wait. It differs from both of their EPS, Love The Love You Have, and ...In Color. All-in-all, this album is a great buy for anyone who is a fan of powerpop.
