Alright, so I’m just starting out and I figure I will start this with something that just recently happened. So on Saturday June 5, I went to the Q101 Jamboree in Chicago. If any of you are from Chicago you should know what I’m talking about but if you don’t well I’ll tell you about it. It’s an all day event starting at like 12, ending at about 10. It’s not as big as warped tour, it only has two stages. However it’s still really awesome! The bands there included, AM Taxi, Three Days Grace, Janus, Puddle of Mudd, Flobots, Crash Kings, Hollywood Undead, Coheed and Cambria and a few others. Those are just the ones I really wanted to see.

So we decided to pull the stupidest move and wait a day before the concert to buy tickets. Now the lawn tickets where 10 dollars of course they where going to sell out but did we think of that, no. So I was definitely not ready to pay 35 dollars for tickets so it looked like it was going to be a no-go for the concert. Well the gods must have been watching or something because I called up my mom and told her about it. No that’s not the good part. The good part is that her boyfriend is really good friends with the guitarist from AM Taxi. So he was able to get us in for free. I am so grateful of him and the rest of the band for doing such a nice thing. I mean they totally didn’t have to but they are really great!

We got their a little late but just in time to see AM Taxi to perform. We go to the place to pick up our tickets and the lady working there says there are only 2 tickets, when there where supposed to be 4. The lady there was kind of blaming it on us or the band. The ridiculous thing was that the envelope with the ticket says there should be 4 tickets. So obviously it is the venue’s fault. We didn’t know what to do. So my sister and I went in to see AM Taxi perform, while they stayed watching from behind the gate because we where short 2 tickets. Well once AM Taxi ended their show they where able to get 2 more tickets to get them in. We obviously complained and you know the best part? When we complained they told us, “Oh that happened to a bunch of people tonight.” Like that made it any better. It made it worse.

Anyway, the rest of the day went great, minus the rain. I got to see Puddle of Mudd smash some stuff. Puddle of Mudd also mentioned that this was also the last time we will ever see them perform, so it was kind of a bittersweet thing. We talked to the guys from AM Taxi and overall it was a pretty chill day. Too bad that venue had to mess up the tickets like that and “unchill” part of the day.
