Finished it during the first two exams, a teen novel with a real message (it's the sign of impending apocalyptic doom). I must admit that I had to take a minute to recover from it; I guess I had always known that blind hatred existed, but never believed in it. Never understood it.

How can someone hate a person that has never done anything to them? Even at GSWLA, we have that. And we're supposed to be globally tolerant and aware- but discrimination exists even in the best of places. I guess the world will stay that way. I can only hope that someone out there has some sense and realizes that there's no point to this, that people can exist peacefully, as we are all human. We are not polar opposites, no one.

"Seek first to understand, then to be understood," Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.

Well, enough of all this "hater" talk. Time for the daily dose of jovial thoughts:

Went out for ice cream in the snow! Mint chocolate chip, of course. My favorite.

Going to put an excerpt from my NaNo WriMo 2009 in the library newsletter. It's still a work in progress, called Stutter. I'm revamping it.

Might be out of school for the third day in a row tomorrow. A snowflake falls around here and everything closes simultaneously. Good lord.
