You know those overly optimistic people who think that there's nothing wrong with the world? The people who think that life is a perfect fairy tale? I absolutely cannot stand those people. I mean sure, it's perfectly normal for a six year old little girl or boy to go around being happy and not know the tragedy of the world they live in. In fact that's how it should be for them. But I think that by time you hit middle school, you should have a little bit better understanding of the world. So please, don't think that I hate happiness, because I don't. I can be one of the happiest people ever when things are going right.
If life was a perfect fairy tale then the world would most certainly not be what it is today. If it were a fairy tale then people wouldn't die; my Aunt Francis and Nana would be alive; my cousin Adam wouldn't have died from a seizure at the age of 15 (I think); my Grandma wouldn't have died at the age of 65-- way to young if you ask me-- because of lung cancer; my Aunt Hazel wouldn't have died on New Years Eve. People wouldn't get hurt-- emotionally or physically. Mental and physical illnesses wouldn't plague innocent people. Cancer wouldn't even exist.
Hearts wouldn't be broken. Women wouldn't be raped for the pure enjoyment of a deranged sex addict whose only goal in life is to screw every girl he sees. People wouldn't even know what the words murder or suicide mean. Money wouldn't be stolen-- or better yet wouldn't even exist. Really think about it-- money causes way more harm than good. People wouldn't have to rob a store to survive.
Natural disasters wouldn't happen. Haiti wouldn't have been been hit with the 7.0 earthquake that it had. The 2004 Tsunami wouldn't have killed 226,000 people. Pompeii would still be a beautiful Roman town if Mount Vesuvius would never have erupted. Katrina would never have hit New Orleans. The only rain we would have would be a gentle drizzle every now and then so things wouldn't dry out, and then afterwards there would always be a rainbow.
People wouldn't have to live in poverty. They would have food, shelter, and clothes instead of living in cardboard boxes on crime infested streets. The acts of crime wouldn't even be thought of. Children would be able to go to school. There wouldn't be a 20+ year long war going on in Uganda-- much less would the children be kidnapped and forced to fight in it. Iraq and Iran would be peaceful countries. Hitler wouldn't have killed the Jews. We wouldn't be in a recession.
Animal wouldn't be treated cruelly. There wouldn't be any need for the Humane Society, ASPCA, or Peta. Rainforest wouldn't be torn down and destroyed just to build the "world's largest shopping mall." The ozone layer wouldn't be slowly wasting away.
The Titanic would still be "unsinkable."
People wouldn't be treated as outcasts just because they're "different."
Need I say more? You get the picture, Now tell me, does that sound like something you would tell a little kid as a bedtime story? Didn't think so.
But really who do we have to blame for all the bad in the world? No it's not our president, or even our government period. It's ourselves. Man. Why? Because in the beginning Eve ate the fruit of the forbidden tree, and sinned. If not for that, we would be living the perfect life in harmony, walking and talking with God. I didn't mean for this to get so religious, but it's true. Maybe, just maybe if we all pull together and help each other things might get a little better.
I don't claim to know everything or perfect--in fact, I hate the whole concept. I don't plan to get famous off of something like this because it's more than like very few people will even see this. I wrote this because I understand that things aren't perfect. The world is probably the best horror flick ever made. I simply wrote this to get people thinking. If you don't like what I have to say, then don't listen to me. Continue on with your lives as if you never read this. That's fine. I know what is real for me.
It's a matter of opinion and choice whether or not you hear what I'm saying. But, if by any chance, you're one of those "overly optimistic people," we probably won't get along too well.
